Family: Passeridae This family is found mainly in Eurasia and Africa, but two species have been introduced in the New World. Worldwide, this family has 35 species. Most are some form of brown, black and white, but some species are yellow. The House Sparrow, just introduced in the mid-1800's is the most common bird found in urban areas. |
