Ring-necked Snakes grow to little over a foot long in length. The Mississippi subspecies is found Northeast and Southeast corners of Texas. They are also found in parts of Louisana, Arkansas, Mississippi and all of Alabama. Ring-necked snakes eat earthworms, amphibians and other squamates (snakes & lizards). They are most often found hiding under various debris such as boards and logs.
