Texas Long-nosed Snakes are found throughout North, Central, West and South Texas. They are also found in most of New Mexico, Western parts of Oklahoma, Southwestern corner of Kansas and Southeastern corner of Colorado. Females grow to alittle under three feet in length, while the males are around two feet in length. They mainly eat lizards, but small mammals, snakes, insects and eggs are also consumed. Like many snakes, if captured from the first time, they will expell feces and musk from their scent glands.
