Date: Feburary 26, 2009 Locality: Nine Mile Forest, Wausau, Wisconsin Camera Equipment: Canon Digital Rebel, Canon 28-105 3.5-4.5 II USM lens The Research Project: Karl Malcolm and Dave MacFarland's project of tracking black bears and finding out where they go in terms of population dynamics and how it relates to bear management in the state. Karl's project focuses on dispersal of yearling bears, while Dave works on spatial models of human/black bear internations.
